Felsina Berardenga Chianti Classico

From the most southerly district of the Classico zone, Felsina's wines are bursting with personality. Perhaps a little rougher around the edges than some, but the kind of wine you'd like to have a pint with/of!

This 470 hectare estate is located northeast of Siena, in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga, on the southern border of the Chianti Classico production area. Fèlsina is not only a wine estate, but also a traditional Tuscan farm, or 'fattoria'. Throughout its history, various agricultural activities have taken place, the most important of these, on a par with winemaking, is olive oil production.

Wonderful fruit purity in thus, darker than you'd normally expect from Sangiovese, with catchy notes of leather, spice and tobacco. Another that will blossom with a few extra years in bottle.
