Idun 'Crépuscule' Pinot Noir

A small, boutique winery run by a French-Danish family that resettled from Mauritius. Based in the fertile, cool agricultural valley of Elgin, they produce a range of sleek and classy wines where the vines grow alongside wildflowers, apples, pears and olives. The grapes ripen slowly due to the 350m elevation and a cool Mediterranean climate resulting in world-class wines with rare delicacy, fragrance and elegance.

Pinot Noir has never been a fan of too much heat so Elgin is a logical place to plant PN vines. Crépuscule translates to twilight which suggests light to dark and is exactly what happens with the fruit profile. Bright red berries come out to play at first followed by darkening cherries and toasty undertones from 11 months in barrel.
