Massaya Terrasses de Baalbeck - 20% donated to Lebanese Red Cross

20% OF THE VALUE OF ALL MASSAYA SALES BETWEEN OCTOBER AND CHRISTMAS WILL BE DONATED TO THE LEBANESE RED CROSS. To show your support for our good friend Sami, his family, his team and the Lebanese people, buy a few bottles and raise a glass to a peaceful future.

SOURCE: From 20 year old vines planted above 1000m altitude, on the foothills of Mount Lebanon, in the Hadath Baalbeck area, overlooking the famed Baalbeck temples of Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus.

GRAPE VARIETIES: Grenache Noir 40%, syrah 30%, Mourvèdre 30%.

VINIFICATION: Grapes are hand-picked, conveyed in crates, and sorted on tables. They are fully destemmed, then vinified for 30 days in temperature controlled oak vats with wild yeast. Aged for 22 months in large oak vats. Bottled without fining or filtration.

TASTE: A captivating nose lures you in, flitting between fruit, savoury and exotic notes. Fig, then bay leaf, damson, rose, blueberry, spice, tobacco, cherry. Beautifully integrated tannins, that also somehow frame a dramatic palate that combines rich, mellow blue fruit, a fig or two and a sprinkling of dried oregano.
